Renowned Italian restaurant Woodstock Pizzicheria has just celebrated the first anniversary for its newest restaurant which is located at one of my favourite locations, Chadstone – The Fashion Capital, and I was fortunate enough to attend the stylish soiree.
What better way to celebrate such a momentous occasion than with a cocktail party, Italian style! Full of amazing food, tantalising drinks and traditional Italian entertainment.
Upon arrival guests were treated to delicious Aperol spritz and prosecco cocktails and Italian tunes by live band the ‘Gondeliers’ filled the air.
Andrea Tranchero, Executive Chef at Barilla and Woodstock Pizzicheria’s Executive chef Daniel Mastramico did an amazing job with the food, showcasing Woodstocks tasty menu items.
Guests were treated to individual caprese salad served on skewers, petite bowls of pesto pasta with fresh tomato and succulent chicken, the most delicious bite sized meat balls and of course lets not forget the authentic wood-fired Italian pizza!
Owner Tony Cannata is a pizza champion and his passion and creativity has won him many awards in the Industry. He sources the best ingredients to ensure authenticity for his Sicilian Italian food. Using San Marzano tomatoes, grown in Southern Italy, and Italian pizza flour ‘Petra 3’ means that you can enjoy an authentic taste of Italy, right here in Melbourne.
The cocktail party featured a raffle with incredibly generous prizes and giveaways. Many guests left with amazing goodies including a dinner for 10 people at Woodstock Pizzicheria, a Lavazza coffee machine and fabulous hampers from Quality Foods.
$3000 was raised from the sale of the raffle tickets with all proceeds donated to the wonderful Peter McCallum Cancer Foundation, providing much needed funds for cancer research.
We were treated to chocolate dipped strawberries and guests received a Barilla goodie bag and Baci chocolates. Delizioso! It was a superb night of celebrating with amazing food and great company in stylish surrounds.
Happy first Anniversary to Woodstock Pizzicheria and a toast to many more years to come!
