I recently had the ultimate pleasure of staying at what I would describe as the most magnificent, opulent, luxurious hotel I have ever had the fortune of being a guest at.
The Reverie Saigon is breathtaking. Located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the hotel is situated in District 1 in the Times Square Building, which took 7 years to build and opened in 2015.
From the moment you arrive the The Reverie, it becomes obvious that this hotel is one of a kind. Swarovski crystal backlit lighting from VGnewtrend adorns the ground floor foyer, marble, mosaics and crystal chandeliers set the scene for the designer hotel.
The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look, an eye popping BALDI emerald green Monumental clock stands proud in the centre of the check in lobby on level 7, a purple ostrich leather sofa, measuring 5 metres in length, custom commissioned for the hotel by Colombostile provides a feeling of Royalty ( Michael Jackson also had one commissioned in red velvet by Colombostile) . Magnificent grand scale mosaic art from the masters of mosaic Sicis feature from floor to ceiling.
Check in to the hotel was a breeze, we were warmly greeted by name, presented with a yummy chilled juice, given our keys, and shown to our room. We had a deluxe twin room with panoramic views on the 32nd floor, and the only word I could say over and over upon seeing the room, was ………wow!!
The overall size of the room was almost bigger than my entire apartment, there is a walk through bathroom with double seperate vanities, an oversized shower space featuring a ceiling rain shower and a large soaking bathtub with magnificent views of the City. The bathroom is completed with a tv above the bath, which is turned into a faux crackling fire during evening turn down! Our room had a complimentary mini bar which included snacks, soft drinks and beer and was replenished daily.
The amenities at The Reverie are luxurious. The deluxe rooms feature delightful Chopard bath products, whilst the suites provide the stylish Hermes and my personal favourite, Acqua Di Parma.

Our room was incredible, waking up to panoramic views of the City and the Saigon River in the morning was a real treat, as was the views of bustling Ho Chi Minh at night.
The Reverie Hotel lights up the night sky when the sun goes down with its neon strip light show, the lights perform a dance of alternating colour and the hotel can be seen from all over the City, the 39 story building standing out along the skyline.
The executive floor is located on level 38, the space was created by Visionannaire and is pure style and class. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and a English high tea is served every afternoon from 3pm – 5pm.

The evening service features cocktails and canapés, there is a cocktail of the day which compliments a full bar menu. The canapés are delicious, sumptuous scallops topped with caviar, fresh tuna, succulent crab claw, generous morsels of tender beef, the flavour sensations leave your tastebuds begging for more. Chef de cuisine Fabrizio Valdetara is a delight to talk to, his culinary creations complete The Reverie Lounge experience.
We stayed at the Reverie for 5 nights so became regular faces in the Lounge! The staff were incredibly friendly and accomodating, always taking the utmost care to ensure our lounge experience was fabulous, special thankyou to Thao, Hy and Hoa Dao from the lounge, and a shout out to Tuesdays cocktail, the ‘Guavarita’ – containing a delicious mix of tequila, cointreau, guava nectar and lime juice – yum!
We enjoyed daily buffet breakfast in Cafe Cardinal. The selection of breakfast choices was impressive, all of the usual items, plus made to order menu options were included. Fluffy omelettes, beef stew with crunchy baguette and one of my morning favourites, Vietnamese Pho, beef noodle soup.
Executive Pastry chef Francesco Mino creates a delectable variety of baked goods. His croissants, served straight from the oven are a delight in the morning. He warmly greets guests dining in Cafe Cardinal and cheerfully hand delivers the pastry sensations. My favourite was his buttery, flaky croissant, filled with melted dark chocolate and the most divine egg tart I have ever eaten. Champagne was served at Breakfast, a glass of bubbles was a pleasant way to start the day!
We loved to spend our afternoons by the pool which features an underwater sound system playing classical music. There are two heated bubbling spas and the poolside menu is perfect for lunch, snacks, cocktails and mocktails. The prawn rice paper rolls were delicious!

The mosaic art in the pool looks amazing at night during the underwater light show.
Being a guest at The Reverie Saigon was an incredible experience from start to finish and one that I will never forget. The staff are amongst the friendliest and helpful I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, they are a true asset to the hotel.
The Reverie Saigon is pure perfection, a hotel deserved of a 6 star rating. There is beauty in every detail and I simply can’t wait to return!
