When my Sister and I decided we were going to Vietnam, we had a few things that were essential on the trip. Lots of shopping, eating, cocktails, pool time and most important……massages.
Ho Chi Minh is abundant with people promoting their massage shops, whilst walking along the streets you are given brochures for all kinds of services and a massage can be as cheap as $10. We tried to get a massage most days, at that price, we would be crazy not too.
We left one particular massage feeling like we had been beaten up. Red faces, hair and skin oiled up like a fried chip, aching neck and shoulders and a bit unsure if what we just experienced was good for our bodies or if we should be making an appointment with a chiropractor to reverse the potential damage. We were twisted and stretched like Gumby and I’m pretty sure we walked back to the hotel like this…….

I knew from the moment I arrived at The Reverie, that I was going to save my very last massage in Ho Chi Minh for The Reverie Spa. Afterwards, I wished that I had enjoyed EVERY massage there.
The Spa at the Reverie is a total luxurious experience. I can easily say it was the best massage I have ever had.
Upon arrival we were seated in the lounge, presented with a fruit juice, and given an assortment of massage oil blends to choose from.

We were then shown to the changing area which has the most amazing sauna and steam room. The sauna has a backlit wall of Himalayan pink salt, whilst the sauna boasts a light therapy show. There is a light changing ‘summer storm’ shower, complete with the sounds of classical music mixed with nature (also mixed with my sister saying, “WOW, come and look at this” and, “hurry up in the summer storm shower, it’s my turn”) ahh the serenity…..
I was taken to the treatment room to begin my aromatherapy massage. The massage started with a foot bath and then my 90 minutes of bliss began.
At the conclusion of the treatment, I felt like I was floating on air. I was shown to another lounge area, where a light afternoon tea of fruit, yoghurt and herbal tea was served.

The day spa at The Reverie is the ultimate in luxury pampering. The cost of the treatment was approx $135 AUS and worth every dollar. I highly recommend
