A date with Miss Saigon

Hip hip hooray! A holiday is booked. A luxury holiday to boot. One week of indulgence in Ho Chi Minh. I was last in Vietnam 10 years ago, and it was more along the lines of a backpacker experience, this time round its going to be 8 days of relaxing, dining, cocktails, cooking classes and lots (I repeat) lots of massages and Vietnamese coffee. I am as excited as a kid in a candy store, and I’ve had to stop myself  from counting down the sleeps.

I  found a great deal, through one of my fave booking sites Luxury escapes,  5 nights of pure luxury and opulence await at The Reverie Saigon,  I’ll be flying Business Class for the very first time in my life with Jetstar (another great deal), which to me it almost as exciting as the actual holiday itself!

I can not wait to explore the streets of Ho Chi Minh and see how much has changed since I was last there, I do remember that crossing the road meant taking a leap of faith, stepping out amongst a sea of motorbikes and rickshaws. Its impressive how the drivers manage the dodge the petrified tourists.

The food of Vietnam deserves a blog post all of its own, the Vietnamese coffee and Pho will be a daily must have. Its been 10 long years since I’ve tasted authentic Vietnamese coffee so I’ll be going a little crazy on it.

So stay tuned for my Vietnam luxury escape blog, Ho Chi Minh, I’ll be seeing you soon!
